Dr. Whitney Hovland Reed graduated from LSU’s School of Veterinary Medicine.
Always passionate about animals, she started with an interest in large animal medicine due to her equestrian roots but switched to a small animal focus prior to graduation. After a one-year internship at Georgia Veterinary Specialists in Sandy Springs, Georgia, Dr. Reed embarked on her career in north Atlanta. Many years later, she and her husband moved back “home” to Louisiana to be closer to family.
While there is no part of the job she dislikes, she is especially fond of dermatology, ophthalmology, and internal medicine. Her desire to make her clients’ furry family members well again is what drives her on a daily basis.
When she’s not running after her sons, Logan (10) and Lucas (8), or stealing back socks from her two Boston Terriers Minnie and Moose, and rescue dog C.C, Dr. Reed enjoys running, shopping, and spending time with her family.
